Everything you need for your dorm or apartment, from students who just finished needing it.
Furniture timing matters more than any other category. Know when to buy and when to sell.
Demand is highest. New students need everything and they need it fast. Sellers who list in August or early September sell within days. If you're selling, post before September 1st. If you're buying, move quickly, good pieces go fast.
Supply explodes. Students leaving residence or graduating post everything at once. Prices drop fast. This is the best time to buy, especially if you're signing a lease and furnishing an apartment for the fall. Patient buyers can find excellent deals.
Do you have a car? Does the seller need help carrying it? A couch is not a textbook. Sort out how it's getting from A to B before you agree on a price.
Check it fits your room and that it'll fit through your doorway. More than one student has bought a desk that wouldn't fit through a residence door. Measure twice, buy once.
Photos don't show everything. A photo taken at a good angle can hide a broken leg, water damage, or a smell. See it in person before you hand over anything.
Building lobby, loading bay, or a public hallway. Not a private apartment, especially if you're buying from someone you've never met.
Cash and e-transfer are common for furniture. That's fine, just know that buyer protection only applies to in-app Stripe payments. For high-value items, paying in-app gives you a dispute option if something's wrong. Learn more →
